The Authenticity Health & Wellness Retreat and Day Spa is located by the sea just 80 km south of Adelaide, near the picturesque township of Port Elliot, South Australia.

The Estate is set in an expansive botanic garden, with vineyards, olive, morton bay fig, almond, cypress trees with an abundance of bird life with rolling hills and views to the ocean.

The Manor was built in 1864. The six-bedroom bluestone mansion originally designed as an Englishman's country manor and used by the Governor of South Australia as his summer retreat has been renovated to a Mediterranean style. High ceilings, large windows, stone walls, timber floors, rustic furnishings, subdued lighting, stylish soft furnishings and art set an elegant provincial mood. Each bedroom has been decorated with different colour schemes, provincial antiques and reproductions. The bedrooms contain hand forged queen size beds. Each room is serviced daily and provided with white towelling bathrobes and towels. One Junior Suite includes full private facilities whilst the other rooms share a complex of bathroom facilities. Pure drinking water and Authenticity's own bathroom essentials, blended with essential oils are also provided.

There is a large and comfortable lounge room with classic style feather sofas, huge mirrors and an eclectic collection of art, a small library, antique upright piano and a fireplace for the cooler nights completes the décor for a feeling of comfort & luxury.

A smaller and intimate lounge furnished once again with classic style sofas and specially commissioned oak furniture one of which houses a dvd/video player with a relevant selection of quality movies and documentaries befitting the Retreat's atmosphere and principals is available to all residential guests.

The main dining room with its sandstone floor overlooks the central courtyard, where diners may enjoy al fresco meals under the vines on sun filled afternoons. Areas for intimate or small group dining, reading and contemplation are also available.

The courtyard pool with adjoining heated spa creates an area of pure Mediterranean magic. Beautiful wooden teak and stone outdoor furniture, luscious plants and lawn area embellish the surrounding patio area.

Other facilities include massage & beauty treatment rooms, wet treatment room counselling office, beauty and health supplements boutique, aromatherapy steam booth, gymnasium & café.

We guarantee this environment to be an ideal sanctuary for a relaxing healthy holiday or break from stressful every day life perfectly suited to the private and discerning client. Small group bookings on a whole-house basis for corporate getaways, conferences and weddings may also be considered.
